Queer Youth Together (or QyouT pronounced “cute”) is a program for young people (age 12 to 24) within the sexuality and gender diverse community. It provides a safe space for community connection, learning, mindfulness and fun.

When: Every second Saturday 2 to 4pm @ the Hub

The program alternates between having structured events or just dropping in and hanging out. Structured events include outings, brief but fun learning sessions and occasional movie or game nights.

Southside Butterflies Group

The Southside Butterflies Group provides a safe space for community connection, learning, mindfulness and fun for lesbian, bisexual, transfemme, and femme-identifying non-binary, asexual and queer people aged over 35yrs and older in Canberra.

When: We hold activities on an irregular schedule including: lunches, dinners, movies, concerts, outdoor activities, festivals and camping.

We provide opportunities to make new connections and friendships, enhance emotional and physical wellbeing,
and develop a circle of friends to reduce isolation.
The program is based in South Canberra but welcomes participants
from all over the Canberra region.

Southside Queer Art & Craft Collective

The Southside Queer Art & Craft Collective is an
inclusive event for LGBTQIA+SB people and allies.
Make new connections, build community, learn new crafty/art
skills & have fun!

When: The 3rd Saturday of every month 2pm to 4.30pm @ the Hub

You can bring your crafty art items to work on or share a
craft skill with others in the group!

REAL parents

REAL Parents  support their LGBTIQA+SB kids.  We would like to have more interaction and activities being undertaken to help support parents and carers to be supportive of their kids.  If you would like to help or would benefit from a parents group, please contact us!
