This is a joint consensus statement by Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand intersex organisations and independent advocates, in March 2017. It sets out the priorities and calls by the intersex human rights movement in our countries, under six headings: a preamble, human rights and legal reform; health and wellbeing; peer support; allies; and education, awareness and employment.https://oii.org.au/darlington-statement/ The Darlington Statement

At Uniting, we believe in taking real steps to make the world a better place. We work to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice.
Our not-for-profit services are in the areas of aged care and disability, community services, and chaplaincy and we get involved in social justice and advocacy issues that impact the people we serve. As an organisation we celebrate diversity and welcome all people regardless of lifestyle choices, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation or gender identity. Uniting is the services and advocacy arm of the Uniting Church NSW & ACT.
Uniting was the first faith-based aged care organisation in Australia to be officially recognised as LGBTI friendly and received Rainbow Tick Accreditation in 2015. We’re proud to be accredited with the Rainbow Tick for standing with people from Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex communities, at every stage of life. Whether you’re looking to downsize for a more relaxing environment, need support to remain independent at home, or require full time assistance with your health and care, we welcome you exactly as you are and can tailor a solution that’s just right for you.
