We always welcome new members!

Membership of Diversity ACT is open to any person or organisation.

As a member, you can:

  • Access and use the facilities and services offered by Diversity ACT.
  • Help us develop community resources that support the LGBTIAQ+ community of the ACT and region—one of our most successful ventures has been the development of our QYoutT youth group.
  • Attend the Annual General Meeting and vote to elect committee members—you might be interested in standing for the committee!
  • Volunteer in work groups to assist in delivering services to the community, or our fundraising activities. We receive no external funding, and all our running costs and programs are funded by the money we are able to raise. We conduct activities such as sausage sizzles and trivia nights to raise funds.
  • Receive regular newsletters that describe what we have been doing, and what we plan to do.
  • Borrow books from our library, which includes works that address lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex themes. It includes many of the ‘classic’ texts, and it has especially strong holdings in recent young adult fiction.
