Diversity Hub

 

The Diversity Hub at 8 Laidlaw Place, Kambah is a drop-in and community centre which is a safe place for LGBTIAQ+ people.

The Hub is surrounded by parklands and playing fields and is a private, safe environment for LGBTIAQ+ clients and drop-ins.

The Hub is the former workers cottage of the old Kambah Homestead. The Kambah Woolshed on O’Halloran Circuit was also part of the property. It was also previously a child care facility, and our fenced yards and covered playground make us popular for birthday hires.

The Hub is generally open on Saturdays from 1.30 to 4pm. However, Hub opening hours are based on the availability of our volunteers so please understand that opening hours can vary at times if we are supporting clients.

Hire the Hub

The Diversity Hub is available for hire! We offer our office space, community rooms and outdoor areas for hire. As our site was previously used as an early childhood education service, our soft-fall covered playground and fenced yard makes our space popular for parties, birthdays and other events.

*To obtain the Not-for-Profit rate you must provide a copy of the ATO certificate supporting this status.

To secure your booking, you must make a refundable deposit of $50. The easiest way to pay your membership fee is through our Square account. Otherwise, you can pay into our bank account:

Apply to hire the Hub

Applications to hire the Hub must be received at least five (5) days prior to the requested booking date. 

As we are a community service, on rare occasions we may have to override bookings for priority users.  Should this occur, we will provide applicants with an alternative time as close as possible to the original booking date.
