The Darlington statement

The Darlington Statement is a joint consensus statement by Australian and Aotearoa/New Zealand intersex organisations and independent advocates, in March 2017. It sets out the priorities and calls by the intersex human rights movement in our countries, under six headings: a preamble, human rights and legal reform; health and wellbeing; peer support; allies; and education, awareness and employment.

LGBTIAQ+ Youth Suicide Prevention

Telethon Kids Institute conducts research, in collaboration with clinical and community organisations across Australia, to improve the mental health of children and young people, especially those from marginalised populations. The Institute has created best practice guidelines for the prevention of suicide in LGBTQA+ young people within clinical and community service settings. There’s also a brief guide to assist service providers to incorporate the guidelines into their practice included with the package on the website.
